Skógarkolefni logo rules
The Skógarkolefni logo is designed by Pétur Halldórsson in cooperation with graphic designer Halldór Björn Halldórsson, author of the Icelandic Forest Service logo, introduced in 2016. The oval part of the Skógarkolefni logo is the graphic object of the IFS logo, thus Halldór Björn Halldórsson’s design work.
The Skógarkolefni logo comes in two versions, an Icelandic one and an English one. The logo may not be stretched or skewed, nor is it allowed to put it in outlines or alter its colours or logotype. Generally, the colour combination should be green and black on a white background but all-white on a black background or all-black on white is also allowed.
The "CO2" graphic object of the logo may be used separately from the main logo for certain purposes such as for labelling of garments, car decals or as a special icon on documents or publishing material, online or in print. Such use of the logo is solely for Skógarkolefni’s in-house use or with is specific permission. The graphic object of the logo is also intended for use as a watermark or graphic background object in all kinds of design work for the Skógarkolefni standard, whether online or in print.
The space assigned for the background of the Skógarkolefni logo should be respected in all cases, avoiding all text or graphic material within its borders.
Main colours
Two standard colours are assigned for the Skógarkolefni logo, green and black. Other colours are not allowed except the aforementioned black and white versions.
